11th edition of the Progr Performance Platform PPP
With its 11th edition, it seeks to take inventory of Swiss performance art, to sift through past paths, to search for new ones and to transform itself. The anniversary edition has invited the winners of the Performance Art Award Switzerland 2011—2020 to participate in this process.
The starting point for the 11th edition is the two terms 'über|raschen“4 (sur-prise) and 'Public Private Partnership' 5 to transition into a 'Public Private Performance'. In participation, the concept of 'transfer' plays a central role. What forms of 'transference' according to Lacan are possible? What does this process look like in artistic practice when public-private partnership becomes public-private performance. Particular attention will be paid to the action guide 'Surprise'. With a wink at the anniversary edition and the experience of being surprised as a prize winner.
The Progr Performance Platform PPP has been successfully making a constant contribution to the performance art scene since 2007. PPP networks national and international artists and their positions. PPP documents all performances in the archive of Boris Nieslony or in the form of video documents on the vimeochannel of PPP
