preliminary situation for the performance with Leo Bachmann (tuba), Dorothea Rust (movement), Lara Stanic (electronics)

The building 'Nairs Zentrum für Gegen­warts­kunst' shows very clear archi­tectural features within it's walls; they are reflecting the opera­tional procedures of the health resort and its spa facilities at the beginning of the last centuries.
We are choosing the middle space on the second floor: it was used (probably) as a recreation room, lounge and waiting area for the spa guests. They waited here until it was their turn for the bath in the spa tubs and the movement-therapy sessions in the side wings. Especially the aspect of the orches­trated procedures in those days is an initial point for our performance «Nairs Glieder» with movement, tuba and electronic sounds from the i-Phone. I mesure my movements according to the grey-green tiles with which all the floors in the house are covered. They provide the overall geometry of our choreo­graphy, how to orientate in space with movement and sound and how we could commu­nicate. This and the duration of 20 minutes are the speci­fi­cations of our common plan. How the performance is evolving in the presence of an audience is open.
