Newton's Äpfel I — Adler Hund Stier Fuchs Fisch

'eagle dog taurus fox fisch' — installation 'in progress'

topic of the symposium

The symposium examines contemporary exhibition formats in which installative-performative elements are integrated. Time-based and performative-narrative components are increasingly finding their way into art exhibitions, also as a way of addressing the audience in a
participatory manner and as an experimental form of new exhibition models.
International theorists and curators will participate in the symposium programme and debate the topic «Performing the Exhibition - On
exhibition practice between performance and installation».
The symposium will be accompanied by interventions from the exhibition project «Der Bauch des Wals (the Belly of the Whale)», which in 2010 and2011 carried out investigations into the transformation of installationand performance at various locations in Switzerland, in Vaduz and Constance.

K3 project space

as an artist led studio and project space, organised by Sandi Pauci and Clare Goodwin, located originally in the old Maag gear factory in the thriving west area of Zürich, Switzerland. There were approximately 120sqm of space in a former factory production hall. The space offered the possibility for diversity, presentation, research and production of contemporary art. K3 project space has organized around 90 exhibitions and countless performances, discussions, concerts and many artist partys. Since 2002 K3 has programmed a wide variety of activities including exhibitions, performances, lectures, screenings, informal meetings and other events. With our initiative we focus on contemporary art in the broadest sense. ...
