the exhibition space Kaskadenkondensator
Kasko has existed since 1994 and is an independent project space for contemporary art and performance within the Werkraum Warteckk pp. It sees itself as a place of mediation and experimental, explorative and processual art creation with a focus on performance and other performative forms of expression. As a complementary art venue it plays an independent role among Basel's art institutions. The Kasko is a busy place, with many different events curated by different scenes taking place throughout the year. One of the Kasko's concerns is to give young artists and art educators the space to experiment.
expanded context and range of the image work
The image work «L'animoteur 1» and the performance «L'animoteur 2» have inspired Katharina Bochsler from SRF 2 to broadcast a six-hour 'Hörpunkt' program «Der Esel, der älteste Kleintransporter der Welt» (The Donkey, the oldest Transporter in the World).
