Alles wird gut — Schmerzgrenzen

In this composition with video stills I fan out a moment of movement into a narrative: Dance becomes falling, running away, moving on and stepping into space.

The video recordings of a live performance, which I developed for a 150 year old felled beech tree, form the source material for this work. Individual image moments reflect the precarious state of the search for balance in a dance sequence on the tree trunk. The 6 banners in different sizes with video stills printed on flag fabric, which are hung between individual trees in the park of the Kantonsspital Aarau, result from the distance between the selected trees. On the one hand they define a space in the neighbourhood of each other, they become walls under the open sky, on the other hand they add up again to a moving image performance in dialogue with environment and weather.
