a performative process and an experimental play

content of Collective fragments continued

This performance is based on ideas and questions about how to experiment with different systems of relationships - organised and chaotic. By evoking spaces occupied by our bodies and the human and non-human bodies around us, we are exploring what they might mean to each other.
Where are our boundaries of race and gender and the other/s? How do the boundaries between them dissolve? How do they influence and expose themselves? What porosities can be exposed and how can they reveal themselves?

'Collective fragments' continued is a process that bundles stories of invitations, experiences, relationships, bonds and contacts. Working in different contexts - in BANG BANG in Basel, in the context of a museum - often raises certain expectations. Is this dance here in the museum, which starts with random movements and making contact, an experiment in letting go of expectations and preconceived feelings and sensations? Collapsing to the floor and trying to connect with the ground and with what is in this place could make us and everyone in the space more receptive to what is here. Could it be a healing ritual that transforms struggles, anger and strain into an intense, temporary experience of being with all that is here? What are the after-effects? Do we sense dissimilarities and gaps?

From our respective practices we are creating layers of sense and then filtering them trying and finding the very essential nucleus.
